Look, we're not lawyers - we're gearheads who happen to run a shop. But your privacy matters to us, probably more than it does to most dealerships.
At Voidhaven Frontier Auto Service, we've been working on trucks and performance vehicles since... well, let's just say we've seen the internet go from dial-up to whatever this is now. Point is, we get that your info is important, and we're not gonna mess around with it.
This policy explains what we collect when you bring your rig in, book online, or just check out our site. We're keeping it real - no legal mumbo-jumbo unless we absolutely have to.
When you book an appointment or call us up, we're gonna need the basics:
Kinda need to know what we're working on, right?
Like pretty much every site nowadays, we collect some tech stuff:
We're not selling your email to spam lists or anything sketchy. Here's what we actually do with your info:
Sometimes we gotta keep records for insurance, tax purposes, or if something goes sideways legally. It's boring but necessary.
We're pretty protective of your info, but there's a few situations where we gotta share it:
If the cops show up with a warrant, or there's some legal thing we gotta comply with, yeah - we'll share what we're legally required to. Hopefully never happens though.
If we ever sell the shop (not planning on it), your service records would transfer to the new owners. That's just how it works.
We take security seriously - probably more than some big chain shops do, honestly.
Everyone on the team knows not to leave customer info lying around or share it carelessly. We're all about that professional discretion thing.
Yeah, we use cookies. Not the edible kind - the internet kind that helps the site remember stuff.
We use Google Analytics to see how folks use the site. They set their own cookies. You can block 'em if you want - won't break anything important.
Most browsers let you control cookies in settings. Block 'em all if you want, but some stuff might not work right. Your call.
Under Canadian privacy laws (PIPEDA and all that), you've got rights. Here's what you can do:
Wanna know what we've got on file about you? Just ask. We'll show you what info we're holding - service records, contact details, whatever.
If something's wrong (wrong phone number, outdated address), let us know and we'll fix it. Pretty straightforward.
Want us to delete your data? We can do that, but heads up - we might need to keep some stuff for legal or warranty reasons. We'll be straight with you about what we can and can't delete.
Don't wanna get emails about new services? No worries. Click unsubscribe or tell us directly. You'll still get important stuff like appointment reminders though.
Need your service history for another shop? We can export that for you - usually as a PDF or whatever format works.
Just shoot us an email at service@voidhavenfrontier.info or call (604) 555-0187. We'll handle it within 30 days, usually faster.
We don't keep your stuff forever - that'd be weird and unnecessary.
After that? We securely delete or destroy it. Shred paper files, wipe digital records - the whole nine yards.
Our services aren't for kids. You gotta be 18+ to book with us or make purchases. If we somehow end up with info from someone under 18, let us know and we'll delete it immediately.
That said, if a parent brings their teenager's first car in for service, the parent's info is what we use.
Got questions about this privacy stuff? Something doesn't make sense? Just wanna chat about how we handle your data?

If you think we've messed up with your privacy, you can file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. But honestly? Talk to us first. We'll do our best to make it right.
We might update this policy sometimes - usually when laws change or we add new services. When we do, we'll update that "Last Updated" date at the top and maybe send an email if it's a big change.
Check back once in a while if you're curious. Or don't - we're not your parents.
